2020 changed the whole world and the gaming industry is not an exception. The past year was also challenging for gaming in Canada but it showed the remarkable resilience of this industry which has reconfigured the business operations to manage closures, re-openings and closures again.
The industry is constantly evolving and there’s a lot to catch up on, and the highlight of the virtual Gaming Summit and Summit Webinar series is to give informative and relevant panels, discussions and education. As past years Summit was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic and provincial restrictions, this year the event will take place in the virtual world, where anyone can participate. The Canadian betting industry is reconvening virtually in June for a series of webinars and networking.
The Canadian Gaming Summit is co-owned and produced by the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA). The Summit gives opportunity to meet senior-level decision makers from Canada, USA and others. The Canadian Gaming Summit is the only conference and trade show in Canada that serves the Canadian gaming industry.
The content that will be presented during the summit will be separated in two days in a four-hour window and will include prominent and expert presenters which will discuss hot topics such as iGaming, ports betting and cashless wagering, as well as advanced payment options.
This year’s theme of the Summit and webinar series is Facing the Future TOGETHER, acknowledging where the industry is today and where it may go in the near future. The virtual Summit will include keynote presentations, education sessions, supplier technology sessions and of course, virtual networking receptions. The schedule of the virtual Canadian Gaming Summit for the two days is to be found on the official website of the event.
This year’s Summit will also include Webinar Series Education program where attendees from all gaming sectors and disciplines are taking part. That includes private operators, gaming regulatory agencies, responsible gaming, IT, marketing, casinos and many more. The educational program developed for this year is based on industry feedback and the preferred ways to deliver virtual content.
Establishing network of connections is a core point of a successful betting business. During the 2021 Canadian Gaming Summit two Networking events will take place. The events will include: opening receptions, closing receptions, VIP receptions, trade show floor receptions, Summit golf classic and more. As well as the Summit the Networking events will also be virtual.
The duration of the Summit Networking events will be 45 minutes and they will be on both June 9 and 10. The virtual receptions will include a variety of tables which the attendees can join at their leisure. Summit participants will have the opportunity to speak with other attendees at a particular table and they can spend as much time at a particular table as they wish. They can easily switch as many tables as they would like during each reception. There will be tables with specific topics (I.e. iGaming, marketing, sports betting and etc.) and moderated by good-known experts from the industry who can address question from the attendees surrounding that topic. There will be a lot of tables which will simply be set up to give the participants to connect with other attendees. A number of sponsor tables will also accept attendees to connect with a wide range of product/service suppliers including white label solution providers.
The main purpose of his year’s Canadian Gaming Summit is to help keeping the gambling industry connected until the world is back to “normal” and that kind of events can be safely conducted.
